Recently stayed at Thornton Manor for one night. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the room was clean with a comfortable bed. Parking was convenient and the towels were of good quality. We also appreciated the drink making facilities and the breakfast items delivered to the room. The large spacious bedrooms and great location were definite highlights.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Despite the negatives, the historic manor house was a sight to behold, surrounded by open countryside. Our room, located on the first floor, was spacious, clean, and equipped with everything we needed. The large bed provided exceptional comfort, ensuring a good night's sleep. The presence of a freestanding radiator was a welcome surprise, as it helped keep us warm during the chilly nights. The bathroom, albeit lacking ventilation, featured a sizable shower cubicle that was clean and functional. Lastly, the free parking facilities right outside the building were a convenient perk of staying at this establishment.
The bathroom lacked ventilation, which made it uncomfortable to use. Another major downside was the lack of Wi-Fi, which made it difficult to stay connected during our stay.

We stayed in a lovely cottage with a small kitchen, dining room, lounge, and bathroom. There were 2 bedrooms and 2 single beds on the third floor. The grounds were beautiful and the staff very helpful. The hot tub outside was a bit small for all of us, but we still enjoyed it.

I recently stayed at a lovely property in Heswall called Thornton Manor and I have to say, it was worth every penny. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the towels were of great quality. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Emma who went out of her way to assist me. The size of the property was impressive and the building itself was simply beautiful. The grounds were fantastic and added to the overall charm of the place. Parking was convenient and I had no trouble finding a spot. Plus, having drink making facilities in the room was a nice touch.
When it comes to breakfast, the only improvement I can suggest is having a wider variety of options available. The coffee table in the room looked a bit worn out and could use an upgrade.

The staff were friendly during check-in/out. The cottage featured stunning character and a private hot tub surrounded by trees. The main bedroom was enormous. Beautiful location, grounds supposed to be fabulous. Gardeners mews room was spacious and charmingly dated. Wonderful welcome and hospitality from owners. Winter wonderlights were fantastic. East lodge was like a private cottage with comfortable rooms and complimentary food/drink. Countryside views near Liverpool and Chester. Great for weddings. Recommended.

The hotel was in a beautiful location, surrounded by stunning grounds and picturesque villages. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was crisp. The towels provided were luxurious.
Some of the staff were not friendly or helpful, and there was a mix-up with the charges for our dog. The shower in our room did not have hot water, and when we asked for help, the response was not satisfactory.

I had the most amazing stay at a beautiful 2-bedroom cottage called East Lodge. The grounds were breathtaking and the cottage itself was comfortable, homely, and well-stocked with everything we needed. The continental breakfast provided was a nice touch, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We even had the opportunity to explore the extensive grounds and take a tour of the main house. The highlight of our stay was definitely the hot tub in the courtyard. I had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Thornton Manor Villa to anyone looking for a memorable getaway.
